I'm guessing if you've signed up to Memory School over the last X months you've been wondering where the Memory School newsletter has been. Well, here it is :)
The aim of Memory Talk is pretty simple, to keep you up-to-date with on-goings at Memory School and the memory world in general as well as giving you tips on how to develop your mind. This is going to be a monthly affair and since I believe that people generally don't want to 'read' a ton of stuff which comes into their inbox, I'm going to keep it brief, to the point and hopefully - interesting.
I'm a firm believer in 'Walking Your Talk', so everything I teach at Memory School I practice. As well as running Memory School and working as a Trainer in Schools and Businesses I run a team of developers at the BBC. This is great as it mean's I can keep up-to-date with the latest technology and apply what I teach in real life situations (which is the whole point of Memory School). So to find out how to use Mind Mapping to consume and remember information during a lecture or conference, have a read of Memory School's blog and find out what I did last Thursday and Friday.
I've been running 1 to 1 Mind Mapping Seminars on a casual basis for a number of years, so I thought it was about time to open it up to anyone looking to get the full works on how to use memory techniques and mind mapping in your personal everyday life.
These half day sessions are bespoked depending on your level of ability. It starts with an initial assessment. If you are a complete newbie then I will take you from zero to memory hero ;) in 4 hours. The session itself covers basic and advanced memory techniques and mind mapping laws with application.
Since it's quality 1 on 1 time, as well as covering the basic and advanced techniques we will work together with material you bring along. I will show you how to break down, consume and remember the information or challenge. The subject matter is up to you.
At the end of the session you will have created a 6 week Memory Schedule to help you achieve your goals.
To make an enquiry or to find out more use our online form.
Memory School is going to be changing in about 6 weeks time. We will have a complete new re-design and with that a brand new site, with more features, tips and techniques.
I've been passionate about building a community about memory techniques and development since I launched Memory School back in 2004. The new Memory School should go a long way to aiding that goal.
Finally, Memory School has signed up for a Twitter account, the main purpose for this is to keep you informed on any interesting stuff I happen to be doing and don't worry it will all be relevant, I won't let you know when I'm having an American hot Pizza, unless it's a really good one of course :). I'll also throw out the odd memory tip which pops into my head. You can see current twitter updates on the Memory School homepage. There is also something very hot in development at Memory School which will be launched before Christmas so make sure you keep an eye out.
Try it out and follow Memory School on Twitter.
Told you it would be brief. If there is anything you would like to hear about in Memory Talk please let me know. I have a bunch of stuff planned for the future including podcasts and interviews with world Memory Experts.
Catch ya later
